Artist: Richard Pryor's Pebbleman Project The Red Stone Album This is good old fashioned hard-rock with a modern vibe. This is Pebbleman's Debut album with great melodies and a healthy dose of guitar enthusiastics thrown into the pot aswell. There are guitar solos from the 70s and 80s with some modern engineering and fretboard Wizardring... All these Fretted Pyrotechnics don't take away from the fact that these are vocal songs as well. It's time to enjoy the slightly longer than 3min songs for a change, perchance an intro and maybe an extended middle with a grande finale. mmmm!!! Sounds like the Red Stone Album. |

Artist: Richard Pryor's Pebbleman Project Very few musicians ever attain the level of musicianship which allows them to honestly say that they make a living playing their chosen instrument. Richard Pryor however is one such person. Known as Pebbleman to his fans, he is probably the number one rock guitarist in South Africa today. Pebbleman's latest offering simply entitled "The Book", is a follow up to his 2006 rock debut "The Red Stone Album". Once again the entire record has been written, produced, performed and recorded by Richard. Just possessing the expertise to take on a project of this magnitude is in itself a huge achievement. To do so at such an accomplished level of competence is extremely rare. - Read the full review |
